Fees are payable on the day of your service. A copy of our standard fees are available on this site and upon request to our administration team. Our administration team will confirm the fees and any rebates that apply to your appointments.
Medicare rebates may be available for some services, with Medicare appointments generally 50 to 60 minutes in length. Medicare rebates for psychological therapy services require a mental health treatment plan referred by your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician.
Please provide Psychology SA with a copy of your plan prior to your first consultation. We offer Medicare claiming facilities so we can organise your rebate immediately after your appointment. Please note that the person named on the plan must attend the appointment in order to receive rebates from Medicare.
You may only claim from either Medicare or a private health fund for each session. Private heath will not contribute towards the ‘gap’ between the Medicare rebate and the consultation fees.
Private health rebates may be applicable for some services.
Our psychologists are registered with all major health insurers and claims can be made at the time of consultation using your health care fund card. Eligibility and rebate amounts vary from fund to fund, so please check with your health fund directly.
Private health rebates for services provided by our accredited mental health social workers however are limited. Please check here for participating funds.
Please note that you may only claim from either Medicare or a private health fund for each session. Private health will not contribute towards the ‘gap’ between the Medicare rebate and the consultation fees.
Psychology SA are providers of government funded disability support for NDIS participants who are plan managed, agency managed, or self-managed.
Our NDIS services are charged at scheduled rates per the NDIS Price Guide.
NDIS appointments are generally 60 minutes in length unless otherwise requested by you or recommended by your clinician.
We offer a low-fee option for eligible concession card holders. Please talk to our friendly administration team for more information.
If you are unable to attend your appoint we require you to contact us by 9.30am on the business day prior to your scheduled time. If your appointment is scheduled for a Monday, notice must be received no later than 9.30am on the previous Friday. You can contact us by phoning our administration team during business hours on 8245 7300 or emailing reception@psychologysa.org.au.
Please note that if you cancel and/or failure to attend two scheduled appointments (whether they are consecutive or non-consecutive) you will either be placed back to the bottom of the waitlist or your file will be closed. The policy applies to both face-to-face and telehealth appointments.
If you are late for an appointment, our administration team and clinicians will strive to ensure you are seen as soon as possible. Your session duration may be shortened in length in situations where clinicians have clients directly after your scheduled appointment. Please note that you will be charged for your full appointment.
Please see our full Cancellation, Non-Attendance and Late Arrival Policy.
